Every book that enters our workshop receives a condition assessment, a documented treatment plan, and hands-on care from trained conservators. We work with private collectors, public libraries, universities, solicitors, and insurance firms across Ireland.

You send or bring your book to our workshop. We photograph the current state, document damage or wear, and provide a written assessment within two working days. No charge for assessment.
We outline the recommended treatment, materials, timeline, and cost. For heritage items, we include reversibility notes and conservation-grade material specifications. You approve before any work begins.
Work is carried out by hand using traditional techniques and conservation-grade adhesives, threads, and leathers. We photograph key stages for your records.
Before delivery, a second conservator inspects the finished work against the original treatment plan. Any deviation is documented and explained.
You receive your book with a condition-after-treatment report and care guidance. We offer a twelve-month structural warranty on all binding work.
Not every book needs the same level of intervention. Use the guide below to identify the right starting point. If you are unsure, request a free assessment — we will recommend the appropriate service tier after examining your book.
Loose pages, torn covers, broken spines on books you use and read. Functional repairs using durable materials. Fast turnaround.
Request standard repair →Full rebinding in cloth or leather, gold tooling, custom endpapers. Ideal for presentation copies, family heirlooms, or collector volumes.
Request premium rebinding →Reversible treatments for rare, antique, or historically significant books. Full documentation, archival materials, condition reporting.
Request conservation assessment →In a world saturated with screens, the physical book endures — not as a novelty, but as an irreplaceable medium. A well-bound book is tactile, durable, and private. It requires no battery, no subscription, no terms of service.
We see this daily in our workshop. A grandmother's prayer book, held together with tape and hope. A solicitor's deed book from 1887, still consulted for boundary disputes. A child's first picture book, read so many times the spine finally gave way.
Our work is not about nostalgia. It is about extending the functional life of objects that carry meaning. Every repair we make is an argument that some things deserve to last longer than a product cycle.
"The best binding is invisible — the reader forgets the book was ever broken." — Workshop principle
